Role: Timelapse photography on Episode 4 “Bear Woodlands”
I spent the autumn and early winter of 2019 filming in the Finnish Lapland and Koillismaa region for the Apple TV+ series Earth at Night in Color. In addition to time-lapse photography, I assisted the team in scouting and reaching locations on their shoot in November.
The biggest challenge was filming the Northern Lights. During the solar minimum and the cloudiest time of the year, filming a spectacular Northern Lights display wasn’t an easy task. As the last suitable windows for filming drew closer before Christmas, numerous nights of trial and error were rewarded by a Northern Lights display to remember.
